Reasons You Should Enroll in a Truck Driving School

Have you been recently laid off?

Are you working for low wages?

Are you tired of a boring job?

Are you looking for a new rewarding career?

If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, then you should consider the career of a Commercial TRUCK DRIVER.

Monetary Compensation

If you want a job that can support you and your family, then truck driving is an attractive option. Starting salaries can be as high as $50,000 your first year.  Salaries keep increasing as you choose various jobs in the trucking industry.  As you age and feel too old to be on the road, it is a real possibility to organize your own team of drivers and continue to earn.  With the high demand for drivers, the possibilities and opportunities are endless.

Unemployment Jitters

There are many industries that experience high turnovers due to over saturation as well as computer and technological advancement.  Truck Drivers can escape the worries of unemployment.  Due to the scarcity of drivers in the U.S., you will never be out of a job.

Be your own Boss

In many jobs, there is often someone in a managerial position micro-managing your every move.  You are subject to daily demands and criticisms.  Truck driving comes with a certain sense of freedom and relaxed atmosphere.  No worries of dress codes, scheduled breaks or limitations that come with a traditional factory or office job.

Adventurous Lifestyle

Are you an adventurer? Do you enjoy visiting new places? Does nature fascinate you? If the answer is yes, then truck driving can be a tempting option for you.  Imagine driving out West and scheduling a trip to the Grand Canyon or a visit to Yosemite National Park in California, Zion National Park in Utah or the Black Canyon in Colorado.  Who knows where your trips could take you?  How about Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota, the Gateway Arch in Missouri or the Cave of the Mounds in Wisconsin?  A drive to the Southern U.S. could give you the opportunity to visit the Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville or Fort Sumter in Charleston or drive to the most Southernmost Point in Key West, Florida.  The point is truck driving can give you the opportunity to get to places you may never have the time or finances to visit otherwise.

Every Day is a New Day

Some people think that driving is a boring and tedious job.  However, they underestimate the surprises and rich experiences this job brings.  Each day you visit a new destination as you travel a new road.  It is always interesting to talk to new people and see life unfold along the way.  There is a lot to learn and experience as you gather memories from your travels.

Easy Training

Training to become a TRUCK DRIVER can be accomplished in only 4-8 weeks.  Enrolling in a nearby Commercial Truck Driving School will teach you everything you need to know on how to drive a truck and obtain your CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).  Expert training at a State Licensed Facility will give you the training you need to succeed.  Truck Driving schools have experienced instructors that are ready to work with you!  As they prepare you for driving, you will be learning safe operation of the vehicle on the track and on the road.  You will also be taught how to do a pre-trip inspection.  Classroom time is also spent on rules, regulations, logging, mapping, customer service and completing job applications.  When your training completes, you will be ready to test for your CDL License.  Many truck driving schools offer “Job Placement Assistance” and have trucking companies already lined up to hire their successful graduates.
